March is here, and St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner! That means it's time to start busting out the green nail polish. I've decided to ease into the green polish, with Essie's Mint Candy Apple, which is a pale green creme polish with blue undertones. The name is a little misleading...this is definitely more of a pastel aqua than a true mint green, but I love it nonetheless!
I thought the formula on this was actually very good. It wasn't runny, and I got nice coverage in two coats. This is a unique color for me. I'm not normally one to wear green-ish nail polish, but I've decided that I'm going to give some love to the green polish this month in honor of St. Patty's Day!
At the last minute, I decided to spice this mani up a bit, and added Techno by China Glaze as a glitter topped accent nail. You can never have too much glitter, right?

The hubby and I also prepped for St. Patty's Day by "practicing" our beer drankin'. This past weekend we went to the Hofbräuhaus in Cleveland. If you live in the area, or have one of these near you (it's a chain), you MUST go! Even if you aren't into beer, the German food is amazing and the atmosphere is so much fun! It's polka music meets the adult sing-a-long. You'll want to start dancing and singing, and you'll become best buddies with the strangers that are sitting next you! Beer has that effect, doesn't it?
Well, dang! Look at the size of those beers! A full liter of beer will definitely get you in the mood to join the conga line and dance around the entire beer hall. Yep, I got roped into being the leader!
Why am I writing this post when I'm hungry! We had an amazing sausage, sauerkraut, and mashed potato dish called Nurnberger Rostbratwurstl. That's a mouthful to say! And those giant donut looking things? Onion rings! A.K.A fried fair food, heart attack on a plate, greasy dough with a bit of onion. Yummmmmmmm....take me back!
And there you have it - the hubs and I - enjoying a fun and goofy date night to start off the month of March.
Do you have a favorite green polish to wear this time of year?
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you stop by often!
